The SEO Schools team has been delivering the successful SEO Advance programme since September 2017, and in February 2022 we launched our SEO Empower programme.
Applying for SEO Advance was the best decision I have made. It has not only boosted my knowledge on the working world and life after education but has also given me so much confidence in my goals and my ability to achieve.

SEO SCHOOLS ELIGIBILITY
To benefit from SEO Schools' programmes, students must be*:
In Year 11, 12 or 13
Attending a state-funded, non-fee-paying school/college
Predicted/have achieved 6 or above in Maths and English Language GCSE
Students must also meet one or more of the following:
Be currently in receipt of, or have previously received free school meals (other forms of financial assistance are considered)
Grew up/are growing up in a household where no parent or guardian attended university (in the UK, Europe or America)
Have been, or are currently, in local authority care
Came to the UK as a refugee or asylum seeker
Have been, or are currently, a full-time or part-time carer or parent
*Some exceptions may be made as registrations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
SEO ADVANCE PROGRAMME
SEO London Advance Programme: Launched in 2017, it provides talented secondary school students from social mobility- qualifying backgrounds with a range of support services to improve their academic attainment, and progression to university and elite careers. The programme is a three-year cycle where students from Year 11 rotate across a range of industries for work experience, and it includes academic and personal support.
SEO EMPOWER PROGRAMME
SEO London Empower programme: Launched in February 2022, this is a seven-year work readiness programme in partnership with Veritas Asset Management. The talented secondary school students from social mobility-qualifying backgrounds start the activities in Year 12 and remain part of the programme through university and into the early stages of their careers. Students receive insights to the banking and finance industry and benefit from a mandatory curriculum of academic, personal, and professional opportunities.
