The Role:


The role sits as part of the Financial Sponsors Group and is focused on developing, enhancing, and leveraging its existing data resources to better co-ordinate its efforts within the team, and across the wider firm.


The role is new within the team and the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team’s internal databases and workflows – and will be an integral part of developing the longer-term strategy for the team’s information management and insight reporting function.



We’ll trust you to:


  • Manage and maintaining record keeping, as well as reporting for external interactions with clients

  • Actively research on client portfolios, movement of assets between portfolios, and senior stakeholders within private equity firms

  • Manage and match external data sources around private equity firms and their portfolio companies to create a dynamic mosaic of holdings and internal client asset tracking over time of those companies

  • Have active oversight of the team’s information migration from the group’s existing CRM (Dynamics 365) to DealCloud (new CRM)

  • Lead the data collation and organisation of quarterly internal meetings with individual UK sector teams and European sector agnostic teams (alongside members of the FSG team)

  • Process reporting and specific query analysis around individual Private Equity firms and their holdings

  • Prepare meeting materials for the coverage team, such as tear sheets, history reports, current portfolio company lists, biographies, etc.

  • Manage the team’s internal coverage and client targeting list


An understanding of private equity, and the private equity environment is helpful – but you should expect that the team will provide training and insight into how these firms operate and the learning and development environment will be continuous.



You’ll need to have:


  • Experience in management of information databases, data within CRM systems and report collation and delivery

  • The ability to manage both the more routine aspects of the role, as well as drive forward the creative and intellectual agenda for the information management of the team

  • Familiarity in data analysis including both the management and presentation of data for reporting and marketing purposes

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to manage interaction with senior internal stakeholders and the tenacity to drive forward the team’s agenda

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated, creative, outgoing, and intellectually curious

  • 4+ years’ experience in research / data management
