INVESTMENT BANKING & ASSET MANAGEMENT
The ultimate journey for any student interested in pursuing a career in in finance is to:

secure a Spring week in your 1st year (or 2nd in a 4 year course)

convert the Spring week to an Internship or secure an Internship in your penultimate year

convert the Summer Internship to a graduate role

SEO London IBAM programmes are designed to not only help you secure Spring weeks, Internships and Graduate roles but also to maximise your chance of converting each of them to the next stage.
University Students interested in careers in investment banking, asset management, alternative investment and fintech can apply to join the following programmes across the year.
*SUMMER ACADEMY FINANCE
5 days of in person learning from industry professionals from across investment banking, markets and asset management, plus Mock Assessments practice. Programme is designed to get you ready for applying for summer internships and graduate roles. Good attendance prioritises places at Masterclasses and Recommendations

One day in-person learning from industry professionals from asset management. Programme is designed to support students who have missed Summer Academy but looking to bolster knowledge to apply for internships in buyside firms.

2 days hearing from industry professionals from asset and wealth management and alternative firms.

If you have secured a Summer internship at one of our sponsor firms, apply to join our in-person training to maximize your chances of converting.

Any SEO London registered student will have access to IBAM resources and can attend weekly Lunch and Learns.
*All programmes give you access to employability workshops and support on CVs, interviews, Linkedin and Networking
**To successfully secure a place on a First Year Programme, applicants should demonstrate strong interest and curiosity in finance. Successful second year programme applicants would demonstrate basic-good understanding of finance and a good level of commercial awareness.
Masterclass – an in person or virtual event hosted by our sponsor firms to give you greater insight into their business, people, culture and recruitment process before choosing to apply for an internship/spring week/graduate role. Only open to students who have good attendance in our programmes.
Recommendations – SEO London make note of students with good attendance and engagement on our programmes and workshops and recognize this as sign of your motivation and drive to work in finance. Students, who notify us that they have applied for certain firms (via Application Trackers) and who are recognized as driven, will be recommended by the SEO London IBAM team. A Recommendation does not guarantee you a secured role but it flags your application to the hiring managers and HR team.
