The traditional route into Alternative firms is to:

• Secure a Spring week in your 1st year (or 2nd in a 4-year course).

• Convert the Spring week to a Summer Internship or secure a Summer Internship in your penultimate year.

• Obtain an analyst role in Investment Banking, or Consulting.
  Note: some firms now themselves offer internships and analyst roles
