Overview:
Drake Star is seeking an Intern with relevant internship experience to join the investment banking group in our London Office for a 6-month term. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading analytical work in support of transaction execution and new business development, as well as assisting bankers in the development and delivery of value-added investment banking products and services to clients and prospects. Exceptional Interns will be considered further for full time Analyst positions at Drake Star upon graduation.
Responsibilities:
Co-author pitchbooks, confidential information memorandums, management presentations, and general Drake Star marketing materials
Spearhead financial analysis including preparing financial models, valuation analysis, and synthesizing complex data
Conduct industry and sector valuation, market, and trend research and analysis
Maintain deal flow tracking and prepare internal presentations for the deal team
Support the due diligence process through coordinating project deliverables with senior bankers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
Relevant previous internship experience within financial services
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to research and effectively summarize/synthesize relevant industry, competitive and transaction data
Demonstrated leadership skills and responsibility, resourcefulness, initiative, maturity and attention to detail
Proven ability to work well under pressure, ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts
This position should expect client exposure and will require a demonstrated skill sets in the fundamentals of valuation, business strategy and client communication
Must be a UK citizen or have long term right to work in the UK
