Job Description

Real estate finance lawyer to execute financing strategies within BPG’s capital markets team.

Key Responsibilities

  • The candidate will sit within the capital markets team and will work closely with the legal and tax teams, as well as the wider investments and portfolio management teams.

  • Assisting with execution and project management of financing strategies for new single assets / portfolio company acquisitions as well as refinancing of existing assets within Brookfield’s managed funds. The candidate will also work with portfolio companies in the execution of financings at portfolio company level.

  • Managing outside counsel in the execution of financings.

  • Maintaining relationships with key execution personnel at relationship banks.

  • Interpreting and administering financing documentation.

  • Assisting the investments team with general legal due diligence from a financing perspective

Technical Skills and Other:

  • 3-4 years PQE real estate finance experience at a major law firm or in-house

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills

  • Pragmatic, pro-active and organized

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a number of matters at once

  • Strong team player and effective communicator, with good business acumen

  • Experience working in an international matrix
