Role Overview:

This position offers a prime opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic, growth-oriented company with diverse asset ownership and operating interests throughout the Americas, Europe and beyond.  The PPA Manager will occupy a challenging role within the organization, providing insight and advice with real impact on business performance and strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Markets, Regulation and Commercial, and working closely with other Brookfield teams – including M&A, Development teams as well as external consultants – the PPA Manager will help develop the commercial strategy including structuring and negotiating virtual and physical PPAs for renewable power projects and other low carbon solutions, as well as help develop Brookfield renewable’s suite of accompanying trading and other value-add solutions across Europe.

Specifically, the Energy PPA Manager will be responsible for the following activities in support of Brookfield’s investment decisions:

  • Build understanding of offtaker requirements and criteria and risk profile for each transaction

  • Structure and negotiate PPAs across Europe and internationally

  • Consult with clients on key market information

  • Draft PPA documents to adhere to individual transaction terms

  • Provide market insights using previous deal experience

  • Conduct regular market research including understanding new market and policy developments to inform Brookfield strategy and offtaker discussion

  • Liaise with route to market providers, trading houses and third party consultants to help design and deliver additional value-add services


  • Experience in commercial management and negotiating and structuring PPA transactions

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in renewable energy

  • Demonstrated track record of success selling to C&I organizations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to argue, summarize and illustrate analyses in a convincing, accessible format

  • Excellent economic judgment and business sense

  • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a multi-project, fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of German, French , Spanish, Portuguese or other languages is a plus


  • University degree in a numerate discipline, ideally with graduate qualification in Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent
