Team and role overview

This role will support the Learning and Development function and work within the HR Business Partnering team in HR. The team is going through a period of change and we are looking at expanding our L&D offering within the business. There is potential for this role to become permanent.


This interim role will support the L&D Specialists and Head of L&D with administration, system updates and coordination. This a key support role within the team and has the potential to be a permanent position.


  • Manage all pre course admin including liaising with vendors to understand availability, booking training rooms, setting up and sending invitations, updating spreadsheets with course details and attendee lists, update HR SharePoint pages, book catering/audio visual support for training.

  • Support the HR Specialists with post course activity including sending out feedback surveys.

  • Act as the first line for the L&D mailbox responding to queries and forwarding/escalating requests as appropriate.

  • Process all L&D invoices following our internal policies and procedures.

  • Assist the HR Specialists with adhoc administration and course coordination as required.

  • Update our performance management system as required.

The candidate

Background, skills, aptitude

  • Successful candidates will have a passion for L&D and enjoy administration/coordination.

  • Strong attention to detail is critical.

  • Collaborative and a good team player with good prioritisation skills.

  • MS Office Skills essential – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment desirable.

  • Prior HR experience and/or qualifications desirable.

  • Candidates should be strongly motivated by BII’s development mission.
