About the job:

what you'll be doing

At innocent we are going through an exciting period of change with our shiny new factory launching next year and some exciting packaging plans on the horizon. We're looking for junior packaging data technologist to join our team.

You’ll get to cover all areas of development; one day you can be working on the latest design of our smoothie bottles, the next you could be saving thousands of pounds a year by improving the way that our packaging is delivered across all of our production sites in Europe.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the safety and quality of all of our packaging materials

  • Delivering innovative packaging solutions for NPD, optimisation and sustainability

  • Coordinating our packaging quality reporting and representing us at quality forums

  • Leading PLM for packaging as the super user

you'll have

  • a real eye for detail and an ability to finish off all of the 'little things' to ensure we meet our due diligence

  • strong skills in data manipulation using tools like Microsoft Excel

  • a basic understanding of different packaging materials and how the materials and design can impact the manufacture

  • a real passion for sustainability, our packaging can have a big impact on our carbon footprint

  • a strong understanding of the complexities on our growing supply chain

  • an ability to influence all levels both internally and externally, especially when it comes to explaining technical issues

you'll get

  • broad exposure to all levels of the business as your ability grows

  • a high degree of autonomy within your team and the wider technical community

  • the ability to (literally) shape the future of our drinks as we continue to expand

We’ve got big ambitions over the next few years, delivering market-leading growth from smoothie, juice and refreshment– so it’s an exciting time to be joining innocent, and you’ll have a crucial role to play in delivering these plans.

You will help us to keep doing business the right way – keeping innocent one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.

In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting, challenging role in a fast-growing and dynamic business, with plenty of career opportunities in the UK and across Europe as well as a competitive rewards package. We also have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at. Take a look at our reward page for more details.

If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close soon.

Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don't have to. We're all about being healthy and happy here at innocent so we're open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.
