Responsibilities of the Role

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Overall responsibility for a selection of corporate issuers and (less so) sectors/countries

  • Evaluating financial performance of issuers - including reviewing and opining on monthly/quarterly/annual operating statements/budgets and maintaining internal models as well as meeting management teams and sponsors

  • Helping to identify/source new investment opportunities, connect with sell side desks and other funds

  • Reviewing and recommending new investment opportunities in investment committee and taking responsibility for analysis

  • Working as part of a team - communicating with portfolio managers, other investment team members, traders and operations professionals

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, modelling with great attention to detail

  • Solid understanding of credit instruments, both private and public

  • Ideal backgrounds may be found in accounting/restructuring practises as well as sell side trading desks

  • A European language would be beneficial (preference for Dutch, Belgian, Swedish)

  • Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience required; - top tier investment bank, M&A or Lev Finance

  • Ability to influence people and extract information;

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation, communication, and writing skills;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, actively seeking out new areas of responsibility;

  • Intelligence, creativity, as well as organisation skills and attention to detail.


The role will be based at CVC’s London offices.
