Department overview:

Wholesale Digital Office (‘WDO’) team has responsibility for identifying and executing new technology-led revenue opportunities across the bank’s trading, capital markets and investment banking businesses. The WDO is a global team of technology practitioners and big thinkers who bring to life the opportunities presented by digital assets / cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, digital banking and ESG digital services to name a few.

Key objectives critical to success:

We are hiring for a Digital Assets Analyst or Associate as a permanent, full-time employee based in London or Zurich. You will work as a generalist across all of the WDO’s projects in Digital Assets and will have the opportunity to specialise in specific projects and technologies as your skills evolve. You’ll work closely with our portfolio companies as well as teams across Nomura including Global Markets trading desks, Investment Banking, Corporate functions, etc.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

• Experience in early stage investment due-diligence, financial modelling and/or market research in Digital Assets

• Ability to work with relevant internal business stakeholders and control functions to drive through digital asset work streams and strategic investment

• Self-starter and passionate about emerging digital asset space with proven depth of working knowledge and/or experience

• 1- 3 years’ experience in strategy and execution in one or more of our focus areas:

• Digital Assets & cryptocurrencies – crypto, stable coins, NFTs, STO, tokenised securities and the surrounding ecosystem (including DeFi, staking, data) including the evolving regulatory framework

• Traditional Finance – Global Markets trading, structuring, research & strategy.

• ESG – environmentally sustainable and socially responsible financial investment, products, ratings and trading.

You have outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievement, and can withstand the rigors of a rapidly changing, demanding and rewarding environment. You will be confident and comfortable working with an experienced team of senior leaders across the Wholesale Digital office, business heads and Nomura’s global executive leadership team.
