What it's about:

  • Development Partners International, a premier investment firm focused on Africa is seeking an outstanding candidate to support its Capital Formation (IR) team, based in London

  • The objective of the role is to support Fundraising professionals through the management and launch of funds and products as well as support a global investor base

  • Candidate will play an important role in key aspects of the team’s Project Management area (investor requests, presentations, reporting, research, data, and others) and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to diversified tasks and activities throughout the fundraising lifecycle

In your role, your primary tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall management of processes within the Project Management area to support the fundraise of new funds and products

  • Complete Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) as well as investor requests and other related documents

  • Coordinate delivery of requests and inquiries requests to drive proactive and timely service

  • Support the completion of Fund Formation documents including PPMs

  • Manage upload to the VDR and manage access according to marketing rules

  • Support the creation, production, and ongoing enhancements of client reporting

  • Work on technology development and act as platform manager: Investor Portal, data platform, CRM, research platforms

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Finance, Investment, PM, IESG) as well as external service providers to drive projects to completion

  • Other projects and administrative tasks as required to support the sourcing, due diligence and closing of prospective investors as well as coverage of existing relationships including for AGMs, LPAC and other LP Events

Key attributes will include:

  • 2+ years of institutional invesment management experience within the asset management industry with a preference for private markets or in investment banking

  • Entrepreneurial – Able to think creatively to manage the needs of a growing area

  • Process management - Excellent interpersonal, project management, and organisational skills

  • Analytical - Highly analytical with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Collegial – Working well with a large variety of stakeholders both internal and external

  • Multi-tasking - Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple projects, with attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat

  • Experience drafting RFPs, DDQs and other due diligence materials
