CELF Analyst (Full time – Permanent)
About the job:
Carlyle European Leveraged Finance (CELF) is one of the leading CLO managers in Europe with almost €9.0bn of AUM across almost 300 predominantly senior secured loans and HY bonds backing PE led buyouts. CELF is looking for a junior analyst and with 1-2 years of relevant experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, market-leading team operating in the European Leveraged Finance market.

Reports To:
Managing Director
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work alongside Senior Credit Analysts to complete detailed investment research;
• Assist with due diligence reviews for potential investments;
• Produce and, in time, present credit papers to credit committee;
• Monitor a portfolio of existing investments and, in time, become a sector specialist;
• Provide trading recommendations to the Portfolio Manager;
• Create and maintain financial models, including sensitising projected corporate business plan performance of potential investments;
• Provide any other related support to the Leveraged Finance team.
Requirements:
Education & Certificates
• Minimum 2:1 degree or MBA from a top tier University
Professional Experience
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally from an investment bank
• Previous experience of working directly or indirectly within the Leveraged Finance sector
Competencies & Attributes
• Strong technical and analytical skills, including use of financial spreadsheets
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise is essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to become a CFA Charterholder
