Purpose of Role
The Associate role involves working as a member of the Operations Team, applying research, analysis and technical advisory skills to assist in the evaluation of the technical risk profile and performance characteristics, of both development and operational power assets. The successful candidate will work within the Operations team providing both Due Diligence and Asset Management support to Investment Professionals in executing and managing transactions.
This will encompass gaining exposure to the different phases of the investment life cycle, focused on the active management of technical risk.
Please note we are open to this role being based in either our Mexico City or Sao Paulo offices.
Main Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):
Scoping and analysis of the technical aspects of a potential transaction
Supporting prospective and live transaction process including, due diligence and Investment Committee preparation
Supporting the preparation of an investment opportunity analysis
Supporting on a transaction due diligence process and engagement with third party advisor(s)
Support existing portfolio companies through construction and operational reviews and Technical Sub-committees
Candidates selected for interviews should meet the following criteria;
Strong technical skills, including direct experience of at least one of utility scale energy asset.
Proactive, self-starter; ability to conduct detailed technical analysis with limited supervision
Highly organised and focused
Project management and ability to drive initiatives through to completion
Excellent research, writing and communication skills
Collaborate effectively with others, including senior managers and external parties
Associates are expected to be internationally orientated as they will work with colleagues from our various offices worldwide.
