Job Description



Brookfield is seeking an Analyst or Associate who will focus primarily on opportunistic corporate-level and direct hotel real estate acquisitions for BSREP across European markets. In addition to working on opportunistic investments for BSREP, the Analyst or Associate will assist with bolt-on acquisitions for BSREP’s portfolio companies, including Edyn, Experimental, and Selenta. 


The successful candidate will require regular interaction with both senior leadership of Brookfield and senior management of portfolio companies within hospitality.This is a great opportunity for a proven outstanding performer to join a dynamic and growing asset management organization.



Key Responsibilities



  • Performing complex financial analysis and valuations.

  • Working closely with investment teams to assess the financial viability of potential opportunities.

  • Writing investment committee memorandum and presenting investment recommendations.

  • Maintaining industry data / summarizing publicly available information on a regular basis.

  • Preparing and summarizing market data.

  • Modelling the impacts of the returns either to the business or within the portfolio.

  • Coordinating necessary research to support investment case.

  • Working closely with the asset management team throughout the investment process and facilitating a smooth transition post-closing.



Candidate Profile


  • Knowledge of hotel operations and capital markets, ideally with a track record of closing hotel transactions.

  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills, ideally with a real estate and/or corporate focus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Project planning and self-management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced and team-oriented environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail is essential.

  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity.

  • Fluency in German, Spanish, French or another European language is an asset.

  • Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

  • 1-5 years of experience in real estate investing, investment banking, M&A, and/or private equity.
