Nomura seeks to recruit an Analyst level professional to work on the firm’s FX Sales team.
Role description:
Assist in providing coverage to clients, including pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies and other types of clients
Develop fundamental knowledge of the FX product
Assist in the day-to-day work of the sales desk by supporting senior colleagues in trade enquires and transaction booking, macro ideas generation, spreadsheet work, act as liaison with the middle office.
Evolve into a fully-fledged sales person over time, able to discuss assets/trade ideas and execute trades monetizing time spent with clients
Provide the trading and strategy desks with feedback and client colour.
Good organizational and planning skills – can manage the coordination of multiple activities working to specific deadlines
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
Previous experience in a related business desirable but not essential.
Previous experience in FX specifically would be a preference, but is not a prerequisite
Willingness and ability to learn fast
Be analytical in assessing investment ideas
Communicate new trade ideas both internally and externally
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to work under pressure
