Department Overview:

The Private Credit team consists of 52 investment professionals specialising in sourcing, analysing, structuring and managing credit investments.

The team focuses on the two following strategies:

▪ Direct Lending: Directly originated primary debt investments in European mid-market companies, with strong market positions, proven management teams and backed by strong cashflows and/or underlying assets. Our primary focus is on senior secured debt, such as senior loans, unitranches, and acquisition facilities.

▪ Special Opportunities: We focus on special situations, both in the primary market - where traditional credit may be scarce, for example because of higher complexity or risk, and in the secondary market - where we deem the existing debt securities of companies is undervalued. These situations may include corporate stress or distress, where we provide rescue facilities, restructuring capital, or invest in out-of-favour industries and underperforming securities. While the portfolio is partly weighted towards senior corporate debt, we have a flexible mandate and the ability to deploy across the capital structure depending on the asset and market conditions.
