Position Description & Responsibilities
A Real Estate Acquisitions Associate assists in all facets of the acquisition process including underwriting, due diligence, and execution across a full range of property types across EMEA.
Investment Evaluation
Provide leverage in the investment evaluation process across all property and transaction types; apply academic background and industry experience to assess investment opportunities.
Construct financial acquisition models and analytical tools to evaluate risk/reward and economic attractiveness of investments, including supply/demand analysis, competitive property positioning, regional economic drivers, and tenant diligence.
Incorporate inputs from brokers, advisors, consultants, research providers and other resources to help craft projection scenarios and assess investment return outcomes.
Prepare detailed Investment Memos to present the financial and strategic merits of transactions adn key deal risks.
Present conclusions to deal teams and ultimately to the firm's Real Estate Investment Committee.
Observe senior deal team professionals in negotiation of transaction terms with counterparties and participate in internal discussions.
Assist in reviewing sections of key transaction documents, including Purchase and Sale Agreements, Loan Agreements, Joint Ventures Agreement.
Help drive full scope of business, financial, legal and confirmatory due diligence through the deal closing process.
Sourcing
Assist senior members of the team in developing investment themes.
Interface and develop relationships with prospective partners, real estate brokers, and other market participants.
Asset Management
In collaboration with asset management teams, drive the execution of business plans and vlaue creation efforts from deal closing through final disposition
Qualifications
Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Real Estate or Management from a top tier undergraduate or graduate instituion.
2-4 years of experience in real estate investment / investment banking.
Fluent in English and French.
