Don’t be fooled into thinking that being selected for an internship guarantees you a graduate job when you leave university. Investment banking, professional service and corporate law vacation placements are all incredibly competitive to both secure and also to then convert to a full time role.  Across the industries less than half of those that spend their summer at an investment bank or corporate law firm will subsequently be offered a graduate position at the end of their placement.

However, interns coming through the SEO programme have consistently and significantly outperformed their non SEO peers. Between 2000 and 2010 more than 80% of the 1,850 undergraduates supported by SEO received at least one full-time job offer at the end of their summer.
