Become an SEO Scholar

Our secondary school students are awesome. They are bright, hard-working and motivated. If you are currently in Year 10, you could join our secondary school programme if:

  • you are predicted to achieve a minimum of a grade 6 in GCSE Maths and GCSE English language
  • you have the potential to achieve a minimum of ABB at A-Level (or the equivalent in UCAS points in the IB or other alternative examinations)
  • you have a track record of good behaviour and attendance
  • you attend one of our partner schools

Additionally, you must meet one or more of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Receiving some form of financial assistance (e.g. free school meals)
  • Neither parent having been to university in this country
  • Coming from a single parent family

In your application form, you will have the opportunity to tell us any further information that you feel might be relevant to your application, such as if you have had any circumstances which have impacted upon your education. Once we receive and screen your application, we will seek a reference from your school about your predicted grades and background circumstances; therefore, please ensure you only submit accurate information in your application.

All of the information you provide will be treated confidentially and in line with data protection. Please email us at scholars@seo-london.org if you have any questions about our application process and eligibility criteria.

Become a Partner School

Our secondary school programme has been developed to increase Year 11-13 pupils’ higher education awareness and professional aspirations. If you would like to find out more about how to become a partner school, please email us at scholars@seo-london.org.

Our programme is generously funded by our sponsor firms and partner universities and is completely free for schools and students to participate in.
