The SEO London internship programme provides outstanding undergraduates from ethnic minority groups under-represented in the City, specifically those from Blacks and Asian backgrounds, the unparalleled opportunity to gain internships at ALL the leading professional service firms in the City of London across the full range of businesses that they offer.
SEO provides its students with extensive training, mentoring and networking services; linking students not only to the firms they work with, but to opportunities and experienced professionals throughout the industry. Through its unique networking series, SEO London will provide every student with access to senior partners at all sponsor firms of the programme. Every student participating in the programme will receive in excess of sixty hours of individually tailored pre-summer training to ensure they outperform their peers and maximise their chances of success. In addition, every participant will also be allocated a senior industry mentor to help guide them through their summer experience. The ultimate goal is for this experience to lead to a full-time offer. In the past year, students have experienced a fantastic conversion rate - in excess of 95% of the 2011 professional services class that interned through SEO London have gone on to secure full time graduate positions with sponsor firms.
For Summer 2013 we will be able to provide more than 150 well paid internships at our partner professional service firms across the full range of divisions including Audit, Consulting, Corporate Finance/Transaction Advisory, and Tax. These internships will be offered predominantly in London, but there will be the opportunity to be placed at other regional centres including Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Reading. SEO provides a range of opportunities with its partner investment banks for undergraduates in all years of study
- First Year Fast Track: For first year students, SEO hosts a First Year Fast Track Programme, providing students with a one-day insight into professional services. The SEO FYFT can also lead to spring/insight internships with partner firms
- Summer Vacation Scheme: A five- to eight-week internship, for penultimate year students
- Industrial Scheme: A 12-month internship, for penultimate year students pursuing a technical or business-related degree. Candidates should either be pursuing a sandwich course or are willing to defer graduation by a year
- Graduate Scheme: We now provide graduate roles at our partner firms for students ready to start full-time in autumn 2013
